About Us

Nicole Josey is a wife and mother of 2 children with a drive to create a confections business that will continue to become a staple in the lives of the clients' who choose Leilo's Sweet Shop. Our Story begins with our owner, Nicole Josey. She learned everything she knows about baking as a young child in the kitchen with her grandmother Liselotte affectionately called "Leilo" by those close to her. Nicole made her first from scratch cheesecake at age 11. She found herself venturing back into baking at the age of 29 when her and her husband decided that she would become a stay at home mom with the birth of her daughter. And so Leilo's Sweet Shop was born... She did some research and found the commercial kitchen that she still uses til this day. 

Leilo's Sweet Shop was established October 1, 2013 with a foundation of professionalism, exceptional customer service and edible art that wows its audience. Leilo's Sweet Shop prides itself on the numerous from scratch homemade recipes passed down from Leilo and improved upon by Nicole. 

Leilo's Sweet Shop is located in West Orange, New Jersey.
